Sober housing and employment assistance.

Resident Application

The Goal is to help men who are coming out of crisis situations enjoy dignified housing and expert employment empowerment

Social Services of Minnesota is founded on shared experiences. We know how it is to be locked up. And we know that when its finally time to get back to life, we got to cover some basics before we can feel free.

We want people who desire stability, who intend to enter this program and become productive members of society within two years or less. Let’s help you with what you need to access Minneapolis systems and give our residents a great place to live.

We are one block from the 22H bus route that heads downtown as early as 4:42 am with the last drop-off from downtown at 1:22 am. Rideshare—Uber or Lyft etc.—from Bryant House to downtown averages $10. Also, when possible, we will accommodate your bus token needs.

Remember at Social Services of Minnesota we always provide space to talk about and work on tough stuff.

This home is a shelter from the troubles of the world, a place where we take refuge and fix our problems, healing and growing, live better lives and making the world a better place as a result.

Our Business project sets Social Services of Minnesota apart from other agencies. We are working with entrepreneur programs from our own community to offer resources to residents wishing to start small businesses

shares of room and lifelong relationships

When in Boot Camp (CIP), the founder of Social Services of Minnesota forged a firm friendship with his bunkmate, keeping future contact while traveling separate life paths. Not only do they reconnect on holidays or get together for an occasional lunch. These two call each other for help—putting up a basketball hoop, fixing a lawnmower, providing support—when needed. Similarly, friendships made through Social Services of Minnesota friendships can facilitate a better way of life.
